The Global Good Fund is a fully remote team with most staff located in the DC, MD and VA area.
The preferred location for the Development Director is Washington DC.





The Global Good Fund is a leadership development enterprise built by and for social
entrepreneurs. We recognize that talent is evenly distributed but opportunity is not. We even the

a more equitable, just society. We do this by identifying high-potential leaders and providing
them with capital, distinguished mentors and coaches, and a cohort of exceptional leaders
through a one-year Fellowship.



The Global Good Fund is seeking a driven, resourceful, and engaging individual to lead the
development team and strategies. The Development Director will report to the Chief Executive
Officer and will be responsible for generating operational and programmatic funds so that The
Global Good Fund supports more social entrepreneurs annually.



-  Design, implement and manage the annual development strategy and timeline
-  Create and regularly update a detailed annual development budget
-  Report quarterly to The Global Good Fund Board of Directors on fundraising progress,
   pipeline, and opportunities; creatively engage the Board on fundraising initiatives
-  Identify, cultivate, solicit and steward new institutional funders and individual donors to
   sustain, scale and diversify funding pool
-  Manage current donor relationship strategy, overseeing engagements and reporting
-  Lead grant strategy, overseeing grant writing and reporting, managing grant calendar
-  Spearhead fundraising event strategy and engagements, including The Global Good Fund
   Gala, salon fundraising model, and executive mentor networking sessions
-  Supervise and mentor the Development Manager; play a supporting role on the
   Development Manager’s responsibilities as needed
- Serve as a thought leader on philanthropic opportunities for the organization



-  Undergraduate degree required, masters preferred
-  10 years of work experience preferred
-  Previous sales, business development, or fundraising experience required
-  Familiarity or experience in the social entrepreneurship sector preferred
-  Demonstrated management experience preferred
-  Willing to travel and/or attend externally-facing engagements 70% of work schedule
-  Articulate and affable in both internally- and externally-facing settings
-  Demonstrates a “growth mindset” and eagerness to test new ideas
-  Functions effectively within a remote team structure
