The Global Good Fund 2025 Fellowship Recruitment Update

This summer, Global Good Fund received an incredible response to our 2025 Fellowship recruitment. We received 2,314 applications from social entrepreneurs across the globe, showcasing a strong demand for our leadership development services. Notably, 14.5% of the applicants were reapplying, reflecting their continued interest in our program.

Expanding Our Reach

This year, we aimed to:

  • Increase our geographic reach.
  • Narrow the gender gap among applicants.
  • Encourage more domestic applications from the U.S.

We are proud to have received applications from several countries for the first time, including Japan, Maldives, Belize, Latvia, New Zealand, Vanuatu, Brunei, Chile, and Comoros.

Focus Areas of Applicants

Our applicants are tackling critical issues in the following areas:

  • Education: 42.7%
  • Environment: 42.8%
  • Health: 26.8%
  • Economic Mobility (Job Creation): 21.3%
  • Financial Inclusion: 16.1%

Demographic Insights

To better understand our applicant pool and improve our outreach efforts, we invited applicants to share their demographics. Here’s the breakdown:

  • African, African American, Black: 74.1%
  • Asian (Including Indian Subcontinent) & Asian American: 15.9%
  • Hispanic, Latin American, Latino: 3.3%
  • Caucasian, European, White: 3.2%
  • Middle Eastern & North African: 1.9%
  • Prefer to self-describe race and ethnicity: 1.4%
  • Part of the LGBTQIA community: 30.9%
  • Having a disability: 26.5%
