Welcoming Jeannie Houchins to The Global Good Fund Board of Directors

We are excited to announce the newest addition to The Global Good Fund’s Board of Directors, Jeannie Houchins. Jeannie is a seasoned marketing and communications leader whose impressive career has touched every corner of health, wellness, nutrition, and consumer packaged goods. Her expertise and passion for driving positive change aligns perfectly with our mission, and we are excited to have her join our leadership team.

Jeannie’s career is marked by remarkable achievements, including creating and leading the inaugural Starbucks Global Coffee Week, an initiative that not only celebrated the brand but also highlighted her exceptional skills in executive thought leadership. Her strategic acumen was further demonstrated in her management of brand and issues communication for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™, a role that placed her at the forefront of global marketing efforts.

In her senior roles at top global PR firms, Jeannie has been instrumental in building brands for Fortune 500 companies, including Walgreens Boots Alliance and Colgate-Palmolive. Her innovative approach to leveraging consumer insights has driven significant business outcomes, generating over $5 million in new business. Jeannie’s ability to translate consumer needs into actionable strategies has made her a valuable asset in any industry she touches.

Beyond her marketing prowess, Jeannie is also a Registered Dietitian who has contributed to public health programs at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and has collaborated with the Institute of Food Technologists on food science education. Her academic credentials include a master’s degree in communication from Tufts University and Emerson College, along with a bachelor’s degree in nutrition from the University of Minnesota.

Jeannie’s commitment to advancing food, nutrition, and wellness is evident in her service as the Scientific Chair for the Institute of Food Technologists’ Annual Meeting and as a judge for the International Association of Culinary Professionals’ cookbook competition. She also volunteers her time with Table for Two, an international nonprofit organization that addresses obesity and hunger, reflecting her dedication to making a global impact.

In addition to her professional and volunteer work, Jeannie holds several specialized certifications, including Bean to Bar Chocolate, Wine & Spirit Education Trust (WSET), and Creative Fragrance Development from the Fashion Institute of Technology. She is also an active member of numerous professional organizations, including the American Society of Nutrition and the Institute of Food Technologists.
