In 2017, we kicked off the holiday season with our first Giving Tuesday campaign, #DonateSmall.
THE CONCEPT: We engaged people who were interested in donating small amounts to a cause, or in our case, many causes.
THE RESULT: $21,754 raised over the last two years for our global innovators.
We were, and continue to be, inspired by how our community came together to #DonateSmall, and helped remind us that a little bit really does go a long way.
WHAT IS #GIVINGTUESDAY?
Giving Tuesday is an annual “International Day of Giving” celebrated on the Tuesday following Thanksgiving. Founded by the 92 Street Y in New York City and The United Nations Foundation, this day has served to amplify year-end fundraising efforts for nonprofits since 2012. Giving Tuesday has become a global movement – fueled by the power of social media and the generosity of people around the world to bring about real change in their communities, and to encourage small acts of kindness. Many businesses leverage this day to create camapaigns or events anchored around doing good and raising money for charitable causes.
WHAT IS #DONATESMALL?
There are people amongst us working to solve the most critical social issues of our time.
Our vision to change the world, backed by Emory University, starts by empowering these innovators. From climate change to healthcare and criminal justice reform to education, The Global Good Fund invests in entrepreneurs tackling 100+ causes.
Our Giving Tuesday campaign, #DonateSmall, exists to demonstrate how a little bit of money has the power to go a long way. The world has BIG problems, but your resources, coupled with our platform, drives enterprise leaders to make a BIGGER difference. Change begins with one person, one donation, but we create more impact together than we ever could on our own.
